There is much to say about the symbolic of all these stars.
Anyway, This Circoflex kite is a real eye catcher at your festival

My Circoflex consists of 20 panels of 60 by 60 cm with gold colored stars stitched in. A panel of 5 cm (with seam) at the front containing a glass fibre rod of 4mm. At the back we have also a 5cm panel with a 2mm line to ply the fabric into a curve that increases the wind pressure. 12 bridles that joined in groups of 7 and 5, interconnected with a string to adjust the flight angle.      The inventors of the Circoflex are Tom Oostveen Helmut Schiefer my kite was built based on the info found on the website of Anthony Thyssen     (pictures: mieke.deblaere & Jeroen)

Based on the Easy Bol Plan found on different websites. Scaled down from the original plan by approximaty 50%. (see also "1000 holes"). Red Dacron reinforcement areas and Eyelet inserted for connecting the 12 bridle lines of 3 meter each.. Yields a bol of about 1,5 m in diameter when inflated and spinning

Black & White

One out of a couple, This kite is combing the best design elements of a Sled and a Flare. Stable, strong, for light-wind and it flies at a high line angle. The Fled is my preferred KAP kite.

Tahara

A newbie to my kitebag: The beautiful Tahara kite made by Karl Longbottom.
Karl added a nice feature to this traditional fighter kite; He integrated a wind harp onto the kite frame.
The sound of the  Aeolian kite instrument is giving that extra when flying this large fighter... Thanks Karl

Deca 01

The Synergy deca A-1 kite was designed by Marc Ricketts - GuildWorks and was produced/made by Invento in 97 or 98.
The kites are now only made by Guildworks only sold directly ( you wont find them in the kite
stores or on the Invento website)). Marc Ricketts put the first synergy deca on the market 10 years ago in 94.

What is a Synergetic Series Kites?
Dynamic and sculptural in design, three-dimensional and feature a state-of-the-art Tensegrity framework combined with a tension-suspended, aerodynamically-shaped sail. Tensegrity, short for tensional integrity, is a system where the spars do not touch each other, but are suspended in a continuous network of integrated tension lines. Tensegrity is one of the lightest yet strongest structural systems known.(According to Marc Ricketts)

Rokkaku dako => From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Rokkaku dako(六角凧) is a traditional six-sided Japanese fighting kite. Traditionally it is made with bamboo spars and washi paper. The rokkaku kite is often hand painted with the face of a famous Samurai. The structure is a vertically-stretched hexagon with a four-point bridle. One spar runs from tip to toe and there are two cross-spars. Flown on a taut string the kite is stable and rises rapidly. When the line is released the kite tumbles until tension is put on the line, at which point it takes off in the direction of the spine. Fighting two or more of these kites involves tipping over or destabilizing the opposing kite or cutting its kite line or bridle.
Stability can be increased by bowing the cross spars, making the kite stable enough to fly without a tail. The rokkaku kite is often used for kite aerial photography and in atmospheric science, thanks to its large surface area and simple construction.

UFO

UFO (Ultimate Fun Object) based on Lee Sedgwick’s design -> Revolution.      The original UFO got the most innovative award at the AKA Convention in Seaside (2007). The disc shaped kite is about 1m in diameter and can be flown in quad-line, single line and no-wind single line configurations. 4mm fibre spare.

Skyship

This kite has a tensigrity design.  According to Wikipedia: Tensegrity or tensional integrity is a property of structure with an integrity based on a balance between tension and compression components.
