Lift that boat

It's difficult to see due to the green color of algae in the water but this is actually one of the four historical, hydraulic boat lifting system on the 'canal du centre'. It's my understanding that this is listed as world heritage.   The boat is lifted 17 meter (x4).

It takes a lot of energy, to find the right spot and the exact wind condition to take the next kite aerial picture. On the other side; I am discovering step by step my own country and I am surprised how many nice place we have ;-)

To make these pictures, I used a camera (Canon G15) lifted at 150 meter high by a kite (strandvlieger). The kite is attached/and secured to my body.  In this case the lifting power was produced by a red rokkaku kite.

The camera rotates and is triggered automatically, but I can take over all functionalities from the ground.   Yes, I do see what the camera is shooting (video downlink) .
