Sint Anneke Plage

It's always a pleasure when the local newspaper is writing something about "special" activities seen in and around Antwerp...

Stars

There is much to say about the symbolic of all these stars.
Anyway, This Circoflex kite is a real eye catcher at your festival

My Circoflex consists of 20 panels of 60 by 60 cm with gold colored stars stitched in. A panel of 5 cm (with seam) at the front containing a glass fibre rod of 4mm. At the back we have also a 5cm panel with a 2mm line to ply the fabric into a curve that increases the wind pressure. 12 bridles that joined in groups of 7 and 5, interconnected with a string to adjust the flight angle.      The inventors of the Circoflex are Tom Oostveen Helmut Schiefer my kite was built based on the info found on the website of Anthony Thyssen     (pictures: mieke.deblaere & Jeroen)

Cutting edge

Rotor with a red cutting edge
Based on the Easy Bol Plan found on different websites. Scaled down from the original plan by approximaty 50%. (see also "1000 holes"). Red Dacron reinforcement areas and Eyelet inserted for connecting the 12 bridle lines of 3 meter each.. Yields a bol of about 1,5 m in diameter when inflated and spinning

Black & White

One out of a couple, This kite is combing the best design elements of a Sled and a Flare. Stable, strong, for light-wind and it flies at a high line angle. The Fled is my preferred KAP kite.
Based on a plan of Bill Wilson at the Kitebuilders forum
