zero wind

There was almost no wind today, A temperature of 17 degrees and a little sunshine; what else do you need to get your low-wind kites out.   I was hesitating to take out my new Plutz3 from Leong Cheewan.  I have to admit, It's not always that easy to set it up in the field.   But what a blast!  What a kite!  It's hanging there! It doesn't want to come down.   Totally different flying experience than the PlutzII.   Once you get the feeling of putting and releasing tension on the line you can get the kite wherever you want.

To finish the day, I had to take out "the long way home" from Horvath.. for that long long glidepath....

Singapore

We were invited for a kite festival in Singapore at the Marina bay organized by Act3. It was a very special festival with live opera music and a lot of international street acts.
The wind conditions at the marina aren't that great, so we had to work hard to keep our kites up in the air.  (The holy man and many other kites had be rescued from the bay)
Good buddies; Danny and Rajesh, showing me the area.
A areal few on the festival

Eh eh what do you need more than my billboard guarded by these two security man
A great show of quad liners
Setting up my booth

We spend almost a full day flying our zero wind kites

Do you see the church

It's a special place in the harbor of Antwerp.   Checkout if you can find the church....
"Oosterweel" was a small town north of Antwerp. It was leveled to the ground for the expansion if the Petroleum docks, Only the church ('t Kerkske van Sint Jan de Doper) still remains.
Screenshot of the area (Thanks to Hugo)

A tribute to Andre Cassagne at the Rijsbergse vliegerdagen.   Andre Cassagne developed plastic connectors that could be used to make tetrahedrons, flying rings, and any variation of cellular kites.

Wissant

Wissant, a beautiful place. The beach of Wissant is very thin and the sea is really blue. .It's a nice little fisherman’s village offering tranquility to its inhabitants and to the tourists in the heart of a protected site.Wissant lies on the coast in the Pas de Calais region of Northern France, located between Cap Gris Nez and Cap Blanc-Nez.  Wissant derives its name from the English words ‘white sand’ and at low tide the beach is exposed with a tide range of more than 8 metres.
Taking pictures of Wissant at +/- 100 meter high with a CP-P RIG and CHDK Canon  camera thanks to Holy man and butterfly kite.
