Bridge

 The bridge in winter time.  I was often driving on the highway next to this bridge. Now, I took the time to stop and take some KAP pictures. I love those winter colors.

The Midi Feather

My new indoor kite; The Midi Feather, should arrive this week as a late birthday present.The Midi Feather, designed by Damon Meheux is extremely light (under 0.2g) and has been made with the lightest possible materials. I got the opportunity to fly it in Bintulu  and I was immediately hooked on it.   Soon I wil post some videos, Thanks Damon for your creation!!

 The maiden flight of my new kite. The sail, designed by Chris Meynendonckx. was based on knitted wool.  It's also the first time that I am using the appliqué technique on a larger (than my light table) scale.

The kite is made on the plan of Ivo van Olmen.   Please find in attachment the original plan.

Nobodies land

A beautiful piece of land between the Netherlands and Belgium. 5 Bft Gusty wind conditions. Flying the PFK kite bringing my camera almost a 100 m above ground.

Grey Wet but Fun

 We spent a weekend in Zeeland. The weather wasn't all that good. But we had a great time walking at the beach for hours. Driving home, I couldn't resist to stop the car and take out my KAP equipment.   Here some pictures of the area near vuurtoren strand - Ouddorp.

I was so happy to make some pictures of the biggest container ship in the world.  Back home I found out that it was an other ship....(or did they put the wrong picture in the newspaper).... anyway this one was also very very big!!!    Please let me know who is right...!!

zero wind

   There was almost no wind today, A temperature of 17 degrees and a little sunshine; what else do you need to get your low-wind kites out.   I was hesitating to take out my new Plutz3 from Leong Cheewan.  I have to admit, It's not always that easy to set it up in the field.   But what a blast!  What a kite!  It's hanging there! It doesn't want to come down.   Totally different flying experience than the PlutzII.   Once you get the feeling of putting and releasing tension on the line you can get the kite wherever you want.

 

 

To finish the day, I had to take out "the long way home" from Horvath.. for that long long glidepath....
