Here a list of paint that you can use for painting icarex or any other sail fabric:

Pebeo called setacolor used by Jacques Letourneau.   Water based opaque, covering, vivid and intense colours. The range includes 15 shimmering colours: shimmering and iridescent effects, particularly opaque and covering.  Can be mixed together. Excellent lightfastness.  Air dry for 1 hour.

Kite made by: Kadek Dwi Armika.   According to the Drachen foundation;  Kadek is the coordinator and promoter for the Sanur International Kite Festival in Indonesia, Kadek helps to increase the skill of kite craftsmen as well as reinforce the importance of the kite traditions of Indonesia. His own kites are creative combinations of traditional and contemporary kite making techniques.

The Spook

The spook; a beautiful single line kite designed and built by Kevin Sanders (Australia).   3mm hollow spreaders. The nice thing about this kite is that you can fly it on those  light wind days in summer on the beach but also when the wind drops completely; take of the long tails and use it as a glider.

The colors and the patterns are becoming the trade marks of Kevin.

UItwaaidag Antwerpen

Op 4 november zie je het toekomstige Droogdokkenpark al van ver liggen!

De elfmeterhoge wind-en watermolen ‘De Pierewaaier’ waakt er nog steeds over de Scheldebocht, maar ook tientallen kleurrijke vliegers vullen die dag luchtruim boven het gebied. Je leert er alles over vliegers maken tijdens een workshop, maar je kan natuurlijk ook je eigen vlieger meebrengen en het ‘park’ meteen invliege(re)n. Er staan ook demonstraties powerkiting op het programma. In een poëtisch pop-up kapsalon kunnen de kinderen terecht voor een speels wind- of waterkapsel. Ondertussen smijt HetSteen haar deuren open voor de laatste dag van haar eerste seizoen. De hele dag kan je er terecht voor expo, films en workshops. Voor de kleinsten is er de woordenloze muziektheatervoorstelling ‘Wint wind?’. Rond 16 uur is het verzamelen geblazen aan de Pierenwaaier in de Scheldebocht. Je krijgt er je eigen fakkel voor de bonte wind- en waterstoet. Fanfares en majorettes nemen je op sleeptouw van het Droogdokkenpark naar HetSteen. Bij aankomst ontsteken we kaarsen en knetterende vuren en luiden we de winterslaap van HetSteen in met warme chocomelk, jonge dichters en muziek.
